Laura Roulet is an independent curator and writer, specializing in contemporary and Latin American art. She contributed to the organization of the Ana Mendieta retrospective, originating at the Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden, among other exhibits in Washington DC and Puerto Rico. Her publications include numerous catalogue essays, Art Journal and the Oxford Encyclopedia of Latinos and Latinas. Her book, Contemporary Puerto Rican Installation Art: the Guagua Aerea, the Trojan Horse and the Termite, was published in 2000.
