I understand drawing as the perimeter created by objects in space; from the way in which a mountain is outlined against the sky, to the way light breaks upon entering water. I find it hard to disassociate matter from the shape which makes it visible to the eye. For this reason, drawing as a means to an end, or as the final object, I see as being one and the same.
